Manager - Financial Crime Analytics (BB & CB Line 1)

At ASB, we’re committed to protecting our customers and business from financial crime. We’re looking for a Manager – Financial Crime Risk Analytics to lead the optimisation and evolution of our Line 1 analytics capability across Business Banking (BB) and Corporate Banking (CB).

Te tūranga | The role

This is a key role at the intersection of data, risk, and insight—responsible for ensuring our financial crime models, calculators, and analytics are robust, fit for purpose, and delivering meaningful outcomes.

You Will

• Drive the performance, monitoring, and uplift of financial crime models and analytics
• Analyse large data sets to generate insights and inform decision-making
• Translate complex technical outputs into clear, actionable business insights
• Partner with stakeholders across ASB and CBA to enhance analytics capability
• Ensure all models, controls, and processes meet regulatory and policy expectations
• Balance BAU delivery with continuous improvement and change initiatives

We’re looking for a strong analytical thinker who enjoys solving complex problems and influencing outcomes.

You Will Bring

• Strong analytical capability with experience working with large datasets
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting/analytics tools
• Exposure to SQL or data environments (e.g. GDW or similar)
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly insights
• Experience working in a regulated environment (financial crime/fraud preferred)
• A strategic mindset with the ability to balance multiple priorities
