About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Care Manager to support and lead our team of passionate Registered Nurses and Caregivers, who provide first class care to our residents at Whangarei Park Village in Whangarei.

You will be reporting to the Village and Care Manager and responsible for leading and coaching the clinical team. You may be a Senior Nurse in Aged Care with the right attitude wanting to step up into management.

This is a 40 hour a week role from 8.30 to 5 pm from Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday (let us know what works for you)

Some of the great things you will be doing:

• Using your clinical skills to assess and identify the needs of our residents to be able to formulate/review individual care plans.
• Lead and manage a team of registered nurses, ensuring day to day high levels of clinical delivery. Ensuring clinical compliance meets auditing requirements.
• Supporting, identifying, and upskilling the needs and requirements of the registered nurses and care workers, as well as providing appropriate direction and delegation.
• Working and liaising closely with the Manager to undertake risk management, quality projects and improvements.
• Support the 'Clinical On-Call' roster.

About you

• You will have Aged Care experience as a Sr. Registered Nurse or advanced clinical practice
• Current Annual Practicing certificate and First Aid Certificate.
• Current InterRai certification.
• Up to date knowledge on wound care.
• Demonstrates excellent leadership and communication skills.
• You will also have a helpful, team player attitude and a caring, respectful manner which is important in our aged care environment.
