About The Role
Ventia is seeking an experienced Manager to lead operational delivery across our Critical Infrastructure North portfolio. This role supports key clients in the Transport, Energy Netoworks, and telecommunications sectors.
This position is responsible for leading approximately 18–20 direct reports, including supervisors, technicians and self‑perform crews, as well as managing subcontractor delivery. The role suits an established operational leader with experience in telecommunications, power or substation environments, including comms work within high‑risk or restricted facilities (similar to Inside Plant / Comms Technician environments).
This role can be based in either Auckland or Hamilton.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the safe and compliant delivery of critical infrastructure works to time, cost and quality targets
- Champion a “Safety & Health above all else” culture through strong field leadership
- Manage and develop high‑performing operational teams and subcontractors
- Build strong client relationships and deliver service excellence
- Maintain budget control, productivity and variation management
- Contribute technical and operational input into tenders and bid responses
About You
- Solid experience in operational delivery within a complex infrastructure environment
- Proven people leadership capability
- Experience across telecommunications, power or transport infrastructure
- Strong safety, stakeholder and commercial mindset
