An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Retail Credit professional to join a well-established financial services organisation based in Auckland CBD.

This role sits within a high-performing Credit & Risk team and offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of retail lending products while contributing to credit risk management, policy improvement, and lending quality outcomes.

About the Role

You will play a key role in assessing and approving retail lending applications while ensuring compliance with internal credit policy and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing and processing retail lending applications
• Reviewing supporting documentation to ensure validity and compliance
• Preparing and administering loan documentation
• Managing credit approvals across products including mortgages and credit cards
• Maintaining accurate records within internal systems
• Supporting ongoing credit policy and risk model development
• Assisting with compliance and credit quality initiatives
• Working closely with internal stakeholders across the business

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in retail banking credit or credit risk
• Strong understanding of retail lending products and credit assessment
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational capability
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in Mandarin and English
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
