The Opportunity | Project Specialist

Based in Counties Manukau, this role is responsible for delivering smaller projects or workstreams within larger programmes across healthcare and facilities environments.

You will coordinate documentation, reporting and governance requirements while working to agreed scope, timeframes and budgets. This includes monitoring progress, managing risks and issues, maintaining accurate project records and systems, and supporting financial tracking. You will work closely with project managers, contractors and consultants within a structured and regulated delivery environment.

What You’ll Bring

This role is suited to an experienced Project Specialist with a background in construction or large-scale builds in New Zealand.

  • Proven experience supporting or managing projects within a structured project environment
  • Relevant qualification in project management, business, construction, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and reporting and a good working knowledge of relevant software such as Procore, Planview, Daptive and MS365
  • Ability to manage schedules, risks, documentation, and stakeholder communication
  • Experience working in complex or regulated environments is advantageous

At a personal level you will be delivery-focused with the ability to multitask, as well as having well-developed written communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll be self-motivated, willing to be hands-on, with a can-do attitude. You’re naturally a team player, with an inquisitive problem solving ability, and analytical mindset. You have proven to effectively manage priorities in order to drive change.
