We’re looking for a Delivery Manager who thrives on turning plans into results.
The Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the successful end-to-end delivery of Digital and Technology initiatives that support key business priorities. The role provides leadership, governance, and oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality, while aligning with business strategy and enterprise architecture.
As the central point of accountability for delivery performance, the Delivery Manager drives integrated planning, cross-functional collaboration, and informed decision-making across software, platforms, infrastructure, integrations, and data initiatives. The role plays a key part in enabling business outcomes by delivering secure, reliable, and scalable solutions, improving delivery maturity, building stakeholder confidence, and ensuring value is realised through well-executed initiatives.
NGĀ HAEPAPA | ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and develop a team of Project Managers and BAs , setting clear delivery expectations and embedding consistent ways of working to uplift capability and delivery maturity
- Establish and maintain delivery governance, reporting structures and tools, assurance mechanisms to support visibility, compliance, and early intervention where risks or issues arise
- In partnership with Strategic Planning Manager validate initiatives’ alignment during Intake Process: strategy, roadmap, OKRs. Confirm sponsorship and Business owners. Clarify problem statements and Business benefits. Ensure intake artefacts are complete and decision ready. Assess high-level feasibility. Initiatives’ triage and prioritization with portfolio governance.
- Drive the adoption of "Adaptive Ways Of Working Measures" including Commitment Accuracy, Cycle Time, and Lead Time—to uplift delivery maturity and team predictability.
- Coordinate integrated planning, support planning events manage interdependencies, and support prioritisation and sequencing of initiatives. Identify and resolve delivery risks and blockers to maintain momentum
- Support the scoping process: facilitate discovery workshops, define scope boundaries, confirm dependencies and delivery approach, define key risks and mitigation strategies
- Partner with Strategic Planning Manager to deliver credible financial and resource plan: develop effort estimates, define resourcing model, confirm timeline and phasing, quantify risks impacting delivery costs.
- Take initiatives through SteerCo approval: prepare governance materials, present delivery plan, cost, timeline and key risks and incorporate exec feedback into the plan
- Oversee the delivery of multiple digital and technology project portfolio, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives. Managing scope, budget, timeline, capacity and quality performance indicators across projects’ portfolio and for BAU delivery by vendors.
- Ensure initiatives are delivered safely, within the scope and on time and ensure sustainable operational ownership
- Establish post-implementation review. Capture lessons learned and continuous improvement actions

- Significant experience delivering complex Digital and Technology initiatives or portfolios in large scale environments
- Proven leadership of Project Managers or delivery teams, with a track record of coaching and performance development
- Strong understanding of delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and their practical application in a business-driven context
- Confident communicator with experience engaging executive stakeholders and resolving delivery challenges
- Expertise in managing budgets, delivery risk, dependencies, and partner/vendor performance across a portfolio
