At ASB, our people are supported to be their best — and behind every great leader is an exceptional Personal Assistant. We’re looking for a highly capable, trusted PA to provide proactive, end‑to‑end support to senior leaders within our Financial Services division.
This is a role for someone who thrives on organisation, relationship building, and making things run seamlessly — often before others even realise they need it.
Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities
- As a Personal Assistant at ASB, you’ll provide high‑quality administrative and operational support to General Managers, enabling them to focus on what matters most.
- You’ll be a key connector across teams, a calm presence in busy environments, and someone leaders rely on for discretion, judgement, and follow‑through.
- Your days will be varied and impactful, from managing complex diaries and correspondence to coordinating meetings, events and travel, projects, preparing executive‑level presentations, and acting as a trusted liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
- You’ll also play an important role in improving how things are done, spotting opportunities to streamline processes and supporting teams so workflows smoothly.

We’re looking for someone who is confident, experienced, and genuinely enjoys enabling others to succeed.
You’ll Likely Bring
- 5+ years’ experience as a Personal Assistant or in a senior administrative role supporting leaders.
- Strong diary and inbox management skills, with the confidence to prioritise and work autonomously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you can engage comfortably with people at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Outstanding attention to detail, strong written skills, and a highly organised approach.
- Sound judgement, maturity, and an absolute commitment to confidentiality.
- A proactive mindset — you anticipate needs, solve problems, and take initiative.
A relevant PA, secretarial, or administrative qualification is advantageous but not essential.
