Water Serviceperson

We’re looking for a motivated Water Serviceperson to join our Tauranga team, supporting the delivery of maintenance, operations and fault-response services across the water network.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll respond to faults, complete maintenance and reinstatement works, support customer requests and help keep essential water services running safely and efficiently for the community.

Working closely with supervisors, teammates, subcontractors and customers, you’ll play an important role in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service while contributing to a strong Zero Harm culture.

You’ll be practical, safety-focused and enjoy working outdoors as part of a collaborative team. You’ll have strong problem-solving skills, a positive attitude and the ability to communicate confidently with both customers and colleagues.

Essential

• Experience in water reticulation maintenance or infrastructure works
• Current Class 1 driver’s licence
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to use mobile field devices and complete accurate data recording
• Strong focus on safety, quality and customer service
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively under pressure
Experience interacting with the public and customers

Desirable

• Infrastructure Works Level 2 qualification
• Class 2 licence and RTW endorsements
• Traffic management training
• Confined spaces and hazard awareness training
Experience in urban and rural water reticulation systems
