Oceanix Yacht Care are looking for a boat washdown detailer and polisher, ideally with experience working on yachts.

This Role is Ideal for: Marine or superyacht crew between seasons, or looking for a couple of days/weeks/months work between offshore jobs, or even better, someone with hands-on detailing/polishing experience looking for a long-term career in this industry with Oceanix Yacht Care.

About the Company: Oceanix offers a premium boat care service, providing intensive detailing and valet services for yachts, powerboats, trailer boats, and high-end vehicles. Our work is fully mobile, and we operate across Tauranga Bridge Marina, Sulphur Point Marina, Tauranga Drystack, and on-site at various client locations in the Bay of Plenty and Coromandel. If you enjoy physical work, being outdoors, and taking pride in perfect results, this could be the job for you.

About the Role

• Washing and detailing boats
• Using machines and high-end products for cut, polish, wax and applying surface protection
• Stainless steel, teak, and interior cleaning
• Oxidisation removal
• Engine room cleans
• Window treatments
• Applying ceramic protective coatings
• Supporting the Oceanix team with a range of mobile valet services

Hours vary depending on workload and weather. Work is mainly Monday to Friday, with flexibility to pick up extra hours on weekends.

We're Looking For

• Experience in boat washing, polishing, or detailing
• Someone physically capable, reliable, and comfortable using tools and working at heights
• A good eye for detail and pride in finishing work to a high standard
• Flexibility to work casual hours
• NZ Citizen/Resident, or valid Work Visa
• Full NZ Driver's licence preferred
• Based in Tauranga with reliable transport to get to work
