  • Lyppard – Lyppard is the leading Australian veterinary wholesaler, supporting veterinarians as they care for companion animals, production animals and the elite athletes of the equine world.

  • Superior Pet Food Company NZ – is a leading manufacturer and supplier of premium dog rolls based in New Zealand and is also a supplier of dog treats. Superior’s portfolio of branded products includes the Chunky, Possyum, Ranchmans and Field & Forest.

Next Generation Pet Food -manufactures high-quality treats and toppers in multiple formats for supply to the Australian domestic market, and has several brands distributed across the grocery and pet specialty channels including Evolution, Australian Pet Treat Company, Dentapet, Reward Pet Treats and Snack-its.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team and support the supply chain and logistics functions for the company. This role is perfect for someone with strong organisational skills and a passion for the agricultural/veterinary industry.

Your focus will be to drive efficiency and productivity ensuring streamlined purchasing/procurement, logistics & warehousing operations.

About the Role

The Purchasing Co-ordinator is responsible for product support across purchasing, pricing, and supplier management, including daily, weekly, and monthly ordering for an assigned supplier list. This includes reviewing and managing stock turn and supply rate metrics monthly, proactively loading, maintaining, and discontinuing products in Phoenix, and promptly actioning supplier price lists, cost discrepancies, and product changes. The position ensures Phoenix is well maintained, accurate, and up to date at all times, with correct product descriptions, visible sales notes, and accurate pricing, promotions, and product availability information.

In addition, the role provides critical product support to Call Centre, Sales, and Warehouse teams, contributing to a high level of internal and external customer service. Working collaboratively as part of the Purchasing team, the role ensures Phoenix housekeeping standards are maintained, and all approved changes are implemented within agreed timeframes. Success in the role is demonstrated through accurate pricing and product data, minimal stock outages or backorders, acceptable stock turns, timely reporting, correct costing and sell prices, and the absence of customer complaints resulting from pricing or product data errors.

The Full-Time role will be Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm (40 hours per week), designed to be family-friendly, leaving your weekends free to spend quality time with your loved ones.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Coordinating the stock levels for all three distribution centres.

  • Proactively load and maintain products and pricing into our ERP software system ensuring customer orders are met.

  • Assisting with ensuring that all product descriptions are up to date and sales notes are visible.

  • Develop a rapport with suppliers to ensure timely delivery dates and lead time compliance.

  • Assisting with the management of supplier cost discrepancies and processing supplier credits, as well as supporting supplier rebates reconciliation and reports as required.

  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure stock preparedness for promotions or special offers.

  • Ability to help out in other areas of the business including warehouse dispatch and stocktaking when time permits.

  • Be a champion user of the internal system and product support for other SVS teams.

  • Maintaining strong communications both internally and externally whilst adhering to the company’s values.

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.

What you will bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain or equivalent work experience

  • High level of competence in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with experience working in computerized inventory systems
