Tekōwhiringa | The Opportunity
With continued growth across the region, we're looking for an experienced Civil Drainlayer to join our work whānau in New Plymouth.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be out in the trench, delivering essential infrastructure that keeps communities running.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Construction of wastewater, stormwater and drainage assets
- Installation of PVC, PE and concrete pipes, manholes, catchpits and chambers
- Working across wastewater and stormwater projects
- Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications
- Confined space work and live network tie-ins

If you take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy being part of a tight-knit crew who get the job done safely and to a high standard - we want to hear from you. We are also looking for someone who:
- Holds a recognised drainlaying qualification
- Has proven experience in stormwater and wastewater infrastructure
- Has knowledge of 3 Waters (potable water experience is a bonus)
- Is confident working hands-on - not just supervising
- Communicates well and works effectively within a team
- Has a strong safety and quality focus
- Holds a Full Class 1 or 2 driver's licence
- Can plan ahead, think on their feet and respond to unexpected challenges
