Huize Limited is looking for a full-time Window & Sunroom Designer to join our team in Wellington. The Window and Sunroom Designer is responsible for preparing customised visual designs and presentation drawings for clients purchasing windows, doors, and sunroom products. The role focuses on creating aesthetically appealing design concepts and realistic visual representations to assist clients in understanding the final appearance and layout of the products after installation.

2 years relevant experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification.

Long-term and full commitments are required

Job Responsibilities

  • Meeting with clients to understand their design preferences, functional requirements, and project expectations for windows, doors, and sunrooms.
  • Preparing customised visual concepts, 2D drawings, 3D renderings, and installation effect illustrations for residential and commercial projects.
  • Producing design presentations and visual layouts to help clients visualise the final appearance of window, door, and sunroom installations.
  • Recommending suitable styles, colours, frame options, glass selections, and layout arrangements based on customer needs and project aesthetics.
  • Modifying and updating designs based on client feedback and project changes.
  • Conducting basic measurements and confirming dimensions to ensure the proposed designs are suitable for the installation space.
  • Liaising with sales staff, installers, suppliers, and clients to ensure designs align with customer expectations and project requirements.
  • Assisting clients with product selections and design-related enquiries throughout the sales process.
  • Maintaining organised project files, design records, and drawing revisions.
  • Keeping up to date with current architectural, interior, and exterior design trends relevant to window and sunroom products.
