Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity
You’re someone who doesn’t just understand Safety and Resilience; you know how to make it real for people on the ground. In this role, you’ll be a trusted partner to leaders across Chorus, providing practical, hands-on support and advice that helps them confidently navigate their Safety & Resilience (S&R) responsibilities. Acting as a key point of contact, you’ll build strong relationships across the business, guiding decision-making and ensuring alignment with organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and best practice.
A core part of this role is owning the end-to-end management of safety incidents. You’ll work closely with our service companies, to ensure the right processes are followed, investigations are thorough, and learnings are embedded to prevent recurrence. You’ll also partner closely with our Field Teams ensuring safety expectations are clear, understood, and consistently applied in the field.
Day to day, you’ll support operational and people leaders to embed a proactive and sustainable safety culture, helping them apply S&R processes, systems, and tools in a way that works in the real world. With a focus of around 70% Safety and 30% Resilience, you’ll also play an important role in strengthening how the business prepares for and responds to disruption - across areas like Quality, Business Continuity, and sub-contractor exploitation. From incident management and capability building, through to resilience planning and continuous improvement initiatives, this is a role where your influence will be felt right across the organisation.

- Experience contributing to operational planning to ensure alignment with H&S and resilience objectives
- Demonstrated experience leading or overseeing incident investigations, ensuring robust process, insights, and outcomes
- Experience operating effectively within adaptive, matrixed organisations
