About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
Portfolio Advisors work alongside Portfolio Managers and Supplier Managers to commission and optimise health and recovery services that achieve positive outcomes for injured New Zealanders. In this role, you will provide operational and strategic input across the full-service delivery lifecycle, supporting continuous improvement, contract and performance management, and strong stakeholder relationships. This opportunity will sit across in the Raranga portfolio and work across multiple service portfolios, including Commodities, Long Term Complex Care, Rongoā, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Mental Injury, and contribute to services that balance client centred outcomes, equity, value, cultural safety and long term sustainability.
We're seeking a dedicated Portfolio Advisor to join our dynamic team . You'll play a pivotal role in supporting service strategy, monitoring performance, driving service improvements, cultural capability uplift and working closely with internal teams and external providers to ensure services are effective, compliant, and responsive to the needs of clients and the wider health system.

You will bring:
- Experience in service commissioning, service management, or operational policy within health, social services, or a complex system environment.
- Strong data analysis, analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data and insights to inform decisions.
- Proven ability to manage relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience contributing to service improvement, change initiatives, or project-based work.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and briefings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience in applying a health equity lens, applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi to ensure inclusive, culturally responsive services in the design and delivery of services.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
- You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.

The appointing salary for this role is $85,037 - $100,043 (based on experience) and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance, and flexibility to change to a locked plan at any time.
