What You’ll Do

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced treasury professional to step into a senior delivery-focused role supporting Genesis through a significant growth phase as we execute our Gen35 strategy. Reporting to the Treasury Operations Manager, you’ll act as a key 2IC to the Treasury Operations Manager, helping lead treasury operations, funding activities, risk management and strategic initiatives across the business.

Some Of The Key Responsibilities Are

• Manage daily liquidity and cash positions to ensure strong treasury operations
• Support and lead (as required) funding activities including bank facilities, commercial paper and capital markets transactions
• Execute and support FX, interest rate and hedging activities
• Deliver treasury reporting, compliance monitoring, valuations and hedge accounting inputs
• Drive process improvement, automation and reporting efficiencies across treasury systems
• Build strong relationships with banks, internal stakeholders and external partners
• Provide leadership continuity and support key treasury decision-making when required

This is an 18-month fixed-term opportunity based out of our Auckland office.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years’ treasury experience
• Strong understanding of liquidity management, funding and hedging activities
• Experience working with treasury systems, reporting and financial controls
• Proven analytical capability with strong attention to detail and a risk-aware mindset
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset
• Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure or large corporate environments will be highly regarded
