Job Title: excavator operator
Location: Auckland
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: Hourly $30 - $32
Hours per week: 30-60
Number of Vacancies: 3-5 positions
Requirements
3 years relevant experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification, Bachelor's degree or above, no major restrictions.
Must be flexible for work, able to work over the weekends, and must cover our required shifts.
Long-term and full commitments are required.
Operate excavation and other earthmoving machines to dig, break, move, and load earth, rock, and debris.
Complete foundation excavations for construction projects and civil excavation for civil projects.
Operate earthmoving machines and complete large-scale and precision excavation work
Prepare machines by selecting, fitting, and installing the right attachments
Read detailed construction/civil plans and position machines for operation
Operate and control the machines to cut, excavate, break, drill, level, compact, and gouge out the ground
Operate machines to fill, move, load, and spread earth, rock, rubble, soil, and other materials
Manipulate attachments using manual, electronic, or hydraulic controls
Perform routine checks on machines and adjust controls to regulate the operation, and ensure the safety of other workers
Conduct preventative maintenance on machines when required
Follow verbal and drawing instructions to ensure work performance
Clean, lubricate, refuel, adjust, and repair machines when required
