About The Role
The Data & AI Governance Specialist is a key role within EROAD’s Data, AI & Insights function, reporting to the Director of Data, AI & Insights.
This role is responsible for owning and evolving EROAD’s data and AI governance capability, ensuring data and AI use cases are trusted, observable, controlled, and compliant. It is a hands‑on role focused on embedding governance into delivery and operations, rather than operating as a policy‑only function.
Working closely with technical, product, security, legal, and business stakeholders, this role supports safe and responsible AI adoption while enabling delivery velocity and innovation.
Job Responsibilities
- Own and operate EROAD’s data and AI governance platforms, including cataloguing, classification, lineage, and data quality
- Develop and embed pragmatic data and AI governance frameworks, standards, and controls
- Provide visibility into governance coverage, risks, and compliance across the data estate
- Partner with Security, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to manage regulatory and data risk obligations
- Support responsible AI initiatives by managing governance intake, classification, and approval processes
- Drive governance literacy through training, coaching, and stakeholder engagement
- Balance governance rigor with delivery speed, focusing on measurable risk reduction

- Ability to translate governance and regulatory requirements into actionable delivery controls
- Strong stakeholder influence and communication skills
- Pragmatic, outcome‑driven mindset with a passion for data quality and trust
Skills & Required Experience
- 4+ years’ experience in data governance, data management, or related roles
- Experience working with data engineering, analytics, or platform teams
- Familiarity with privacy, compliance, lineage, and data quality concepts
- Experience operating in regulated or controlled data environments
