At Worley in Wellington, we are expanding and looking for a Project Engineer and Senior Project Engineer to join our team based in Wellington.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on impactful projects across Wellington’s infrastructure, energy, water, and manufacturing sectors. This role is locally based in Wellington and will require frequent visits to customer sites and offices.

What You’ll Do
- Deliver a variety of projects across multiple sectors including water (industrial and local government), renewable generation, decarbonisation, conventional energy, and tanks and terminals
- Partner closely with existing customers and work alongside engineering, procurement, construction, and sales teams to identify, win, and execute new business
- Set clear objectives for project teams including scope, schedule, productivity, and budget targets
- Undertake daily administration of projects, contracts, and Worley policies and processes to ensure business objectives are met
- Utilise project engineering and management expertise to oversee successful technical coordination
- Maintain a strong HSE focus and ensure requirements are embedded across design, procurement, and execution
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and that appropriate change control processes are followed
- Identify potential technical and project risks and develop effective mitigation, contingency, and resolution plans
What You’ll Have
- University degree in engineering or equivalent experience, with professional registration in the local jurisdiction
- Mechanical, electrical, process, civil/structural engineering, or three waters experience, with 2–5 years of project management experience
- End‑to‑end project delivery experience including on‑site construction management and commissioning
- Understanding of project budgets, earned value tracking, forecasting, schedules, and resource planning
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with project teams and stakeholders
- Experience administering contracts, including NZS 3910 and NZS 3916, with Engineer to Contract or Engineer’s Representative experience beneficial
- Competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6
- A positive and respectful attitude that fosters collaboration and teamwork
- New Zealand citizenship, residency, or a valid work visa with the right to live and work in New Zealand
