Reintegration Lead (12 month Fixed Term) - Out of Gate

The Salvation Army Reintegration Service

The Salvation Army Reintegration Service provides short term housing and other support for people reintegrating into the community following their release from prison. With one-on-one case management of allocated clients ensuring support throughout their initial reintegration into the community. It includes working closely with Community Probations and other government and community organizations.

About The Role

The purpose of the position is to continuously grow and improve the standard of support provided to clients, and support the implementation and development of this new Out of Gate (OOG) service moving forward and to lead the development of this new service with sound direction and innovative thinking, supporting the operational teams for quality outcomes within the Waikato and Southland/Otago services.

What Will Your Responsibilities Be

To lead, coach, continuously improve the quality of the service to meet the ever changing needs for our people, ensuring high standards are attained, relationship building with our contracted and community partners, risk is managed and practice meets the Salvation Army values and mission, standards, contracts and policy.

Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures relating to all aspects of service provision.

Workforce - support the recruitment, orientation and professional development of all the Reinetrgation Out of Gate (OOG) Team.

Promote cultural awareness and safety.

Promote wellness and a safe work environment.

Our Ideal Candidate Will

  • Be a qualified/Experianced Senior Manager who has social service provision experience and undersatnding of contract management.
  • Be experienced and skilled at working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Have leadership skills, with the ability to monitor progress and development skills of a team.
  • Possess excellent written, oral communication and listening skills.
  • Be able to work cooperatively in a team environment, sharing information, ideas and effective practices while maintaining client and service privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Be focussed on client needs.
  • Posses and exercise relationship building skills.
  • Have a high level of personal integrity.
  • Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment.

  • Hold a current clean full drivers licence.
  • Be able to travel from time to time to support the services
  • Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand

This is a 12 month Fixed Term role, from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.

40 hours per week.

The salary for this role will range from $90,867 to $94,951 gross per annum.
