Information Technology Manager

We are looking for a hands‑on IT Manager to own our IT environment across NZ and Australia, keep our people productive and secure, and help us unlock more value from our core platforms – Microsoft 365, FinPower, NetSuite and HubSpot.
This is a sole role is based in Auckland and reports to the Chief Operating Officer as part of our shared service team, with oversight from our Chief Technology Officer.

What you’ll be doing
- Owning day‑to‑day IT operations across all group entities (around 60 staff), ensuring systems are available, reliable and secure.
- Acting as the escalation point for IT incidents and requests (Level 2 support), providing hands‑on support in Auckland and coordinating support for our other locations.
- Managing end‑user devices through their lifecycle – procurement, deployment, maintenance and retirement – and ensuring smooth onboarding and offboarding.
- Managing our Managed Service Provider (MSP) and other IT vendors, including SLAs, performance and contract outcomes.
- Coordinating telecommunications, network and security providers, and overseeing backup and disaster recovery (including testing).
- Leading and coordinating IT projects such as upgrades, system implementations and office moves, including budgets and vendor management.
- Preparing business cases (including ROI and risk analysis) and contributing to our technology roadmap, including AI and automation initiatives.
- Delivering training on systems and tools, promoting cybersecurity awareness, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement
What you’ll bring
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Around 10 years’ experience in IT operations, including at least 4 years in senior or leadership roles.
- Strong experience managing MSPs and IT vendors and delivering IT projects end‑to‑end.
- Strong, practical experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud administration; exposure to ERP/CRM systems such as NetSuite, FinPower and HubSpot
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach, with adaptability and enthusiasm for new technologies including AI and automation
