Excavator/Truck Operator

Professional Excavation Ltd is a dynamic New-Plymouth based company, looking for great people with proven experience in the civil construction industry.

We are growing! Due to increased workload, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Excavator and Truck Operator. We need an experienced team player who is motivated and self-led, understands opportunities, is committed to safe working practices, and can lead others. An understanding of civil construction projects and how to get them done is essential.

Required experience

• Minimum 3 years experience operating civil construction or heavy machinery
• Experience with excavation, trenching, and related techniques
• Knowledge of Heavy Equipment handling and utilization for construction projects
• Mechanical aptitude: excellent attitude toward the maintenance and care of vehicles, plant and equipment
• Understanding of safety protocols and best practices for construction sites
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Embraces a culture of continuous improvement through incremental TDI (Tiny Daily Improvements)
• Valid driver's license with relevant heavy vehicle and WTR endorsements
• Previous experience with council, subdivision, or infrastructure projects is a plus
