We’re looking for a motivated and highly organised Project Coordinator to support the delivery of projects across our Recreation, Sport & Events unit. Working closely with the Facilities Establishment Programme Manager, you’ll play a key role in coordinating projects, providing reporting insights, and ensuring successful delivery across a diverse portfolio of initiatives.

You’ll be at the heart of project delivery, supporting multiple initiatives from planning through to completion. Your work will include:

  • Developing and maintaining project plans aligned to scope, timelines, and budget
  • Preparing regular project, participation and financial reports
  • Coordinating project teams, meetings, documentation, and approvals
  • Conducting research, benchmarking, and analysis to inform decision-making and service improvements
  • Building strong working relationships with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Acting as a key point of contact and keeping stakeholders informed throughout project lifecycles

About you | Ko Koe Tēnei

You’re a proactive, detail-oriented coordinator who enjoys working across multiple priorities and collaborating with a wide range of people.

You will bring:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a project or programme environment
  • Strong project coordination, tracking, and reporting experience
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands simultaneously
  • Experience monitoring budgets, costs, and project resources
  • Strong analytical and research capability
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Confidence using tools such as MS Excel and project management systems
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Business, Management, Commerce, Sport/Recreation or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • Hours of work: Monday to Friday
  • Position: Full-time, permanent
  • Location: This position will be based at Parakiore Recreation & Sport Centre, 50 Saint Asaph Street
  • Salary: The salary band for this position goes from $74,394 to $82,660 per annum based on a 40 hour week
