We’re looking for a motivated and highly organised Project Coordinator to support the delivery of projects across our Recreation, Sport & Events unit. Working closely with the Facilities Establishment Programme Manager, you’ll play a key role in coordinating projects, providing reporting insights, and ensuring successful delivery across a diverse portfolio of initiatives.

You’ll be at the heart of project delivery, supporting multiple initiatives from planning through to completion. Your work will include:
- Developing and maintaining project plans aligned to scope, timelines, and budget
- Preparing regular project, participation and financial reports
- Coordinating project teams, meetings, documentation, and approvals
- Conducting research, benchmarking, and analysis to inform decision-making and service improvements
- Building strong working relationships with internal teams and stakeholders
- Acting as a key point of contact and keeping stakeholders informed throughout project lifecycles
About you | Ko Koe Tēnei
You’re a proactive, detail-oriented coordinator who enjoys working across multiple priorities and collaborating with a wide range of people.
You will bring:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a project or programme environment
- Strong project coordination, tracking, and reporting experience
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands simultaneously
- Experience monitoring budgets, costs, and project resources
- Strong analytical and research capability
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Confidence using tools such as MS Excel and project management systems
- A Level 5 Diploma in Business, Management, Commerce, Sport/Recreation or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday
- Position: Full-time, permanent
- Location: This position will be based at Parakiore Recreation & Sport Centre, 50 Saint Asaph Street
- Salary: The salary band for this position goes from $74,394 to $82,660 per annum based on a 40 hour week
