Senior Project Manager

Come and join a boutique project management consultancy working across complex infrastructure, transport, and public sector programmes. With demand strong and utilisation at capacity, we’re looking to bring on a Senior Project Manager who can step in confidently, lead from day one, and grow with the business.

This role is ideal for an experienced PM (or Senior PM) who wants more than just another delivery role—someone who brings judgement, presence, and an ownership mindset, and who may be interested in progressing into a future shareholder pathway.

The opportunity

You’ll initially join as a Senior Project Manager, with responsibility across a range of public and private sector projects. You will have immediate involvement across major programmes including Transport, Infrastructure and 3 Waters.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading and delivering complex projects end-to-end
• Building trusted relationships with senior clients and stakeholders
• Contributing across multiple clients to avoid single-client dependency
• Supporting business growth through industry connections and opportunities
• Acting as a senior sounding board within a small, high-trust team
• Helping shape systems, culture, and future capability as the business grows

About you You’ll bring maturity, credibility, and confidence, along with:

• 5-15 years’ project management experience
• A strong New Zealand project portfolio
• Experience across public and/or private sector environments
• An established industry reputation and professional network
• A genuine ownership mentality and long-term mindset
• Comfort working autonomously in a small consultancy environment
