Role Responsibilities
As a Glove & Barrier Team Leader, you’ll take charge of day-to-day field operations, ensuring overhead line construction and maintenance is delivered to the highest safety and quality standards. You’ll lead from the front planning jobs, supporting live line work, operating equipment up to 66kV.
From pole replacements to conductor installs, from live line glove and barrier work to safety audits and inspections your technical leadership will set the tone for every job. You’ll make sure your crew has the tools, support, and clear direction they need to succeed, while keeping customer needs and network standards front and centre.
Step Up, Lead Strong The Experience We Need
You’re a seasoned Line Mechanic with a strong background in glove and barrier live line work. You know the job inside out and more importantly; you know how to get the best out of others in the field. You’re someone who builds trust quickly, communicates clearly, and isn’t afraid to step in when something needs doing.
Experience
- Proven experience working on overhead distribution networks.
- Glove & barrier live line competency
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills
- Leadership experience or a strong desire to lead others
- A practical, calm, and safety-first approach to every job
- A knack for getting paperwork done properly, the first time
- You will possibly be a part of afterhours team roster to respond to fault works.
