About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our kitchen
team. This role will play a key part in daily food preparation and service. You will
work closely with the management team to maintain food quality, consistency, and
efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare, cook, and present menu items, including Korean-style fried chicken,
burgers and pizzas
2. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with established recipes and
standards
3. Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation
4. Manage food preparation before and during service periods
5. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
6. Ensure compliance with New Zealand food safety and hygiene regulations
7. Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste
8.Support menu development and new item preparation as the business grows
What We’re Looking For
1. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen or restaurant
OR Relevant qualification (equivalent to NZ Level 4 or higher)
2. Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
3. Ability to work rostered shifts, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and
public holidays
4. Strong time management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
5. Passion for food, quality, and teamwork
6. Reliable, hardworking, and committed to long-term employment
