Senior Asset Advisory Specialist - Valuations
Beca
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Apply your expertise as a senior professional to lead and deliver large, complex valuation engagements with a focus on plant and infrastructure assets. This role is well suited to experienced professionals from asset‑intensive environments (think manufacturing, local government, audit) who are looking to transition into a specialist valuation and asset advisory career. Your background in financial reporting, assurance, asset verification, controls, and professional judgement will be highly transferable as you develop deep technical capability in plant and infrastructure valuation, supported by a collaborative team that values learning and professional growth.
You’ll support the delivery of valuation services across complex, multi‑site asset portfolios throughout New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific. Working closely with clients, you’ll apply your analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with complex asset data to produce robust, defensible valuation outcomes. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing development of Beca’s Asset Advisory service offerings, supporting clients across the full asset lifecycle.
Beca’s Valuation and Asset Advisory team is recognized as industry leading, winning, RICS Valuation Team of the Year in New Zealand in 2020, 2021, 2024, and 2025, as well as the PINZ 2024 Professional Business of the Year. You’ll join a specialist team delivering high‑value, complex valuation projects and strategic asset management advice for asset‑intensive organisations.
As part of Beca’s Valuation and Asset Advisory business, you’ll build specialist expertise in plant and infrastructure valuation while working alongside experts in asset management and decision support. This is a fast‑paced and rewarding role where your professional services experience, client‑facing capability, and commercial mindset will be highly valued, with clear progression opportunities across New Zealand and the wider Beca business.
Ko wai koe | About you
You’re a high‑performing professional with a strong analytical mindset and experience working with asset‑intensive environments such as industrial, infrastructure, or public‑sector portfolios. You may come from a valuation, audit, or accounting background and are comfortable working with complex asset data, financial reporting requirements, and professional judgement.
You enjoy a role that combines office‑based analysis with regular site visits, engaging directly with assets and client teams to deliver well‑informed outcomes. You value working in a small, close‑knit team where collaboration and learning are encouraged, bring strong communication skills and attention to detail, and are motivated by continual professional growth in a thriving consulting environment.
