Te Tūranga – About the role

As Customer Engagement Analyst, you are a customer-driven analyst who helps Foodstuffs measure, monitor and optimise how we engage with our customers. You’ll deliver comprehensive reporting, develop addressable audiences and provide actionable insights to ensure every campaign, offer and interaction is informed by data and continuously improved.

Working within a cross-functional team, you’ll collaborate closely with marketing, CX and analytics partners to support data-driven decision making and optimise customer engagement programme performance.

Key focus areas include:

  • Analysing campaign and offer performance across customer segments and channels to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Maintaining and enhancing reports and dashboards to support programme optimisation and stakeholder decision making
  • Translating customer data into clear, actionable insights using strong storytelling techniques
  • Supporting stakeholder enquiries on data meaning, performance and reporting solutions
  • Ensuring data accuracy, integrity and best-practice data management across engagement reporting

He kōrero mōu - About you

You’re a detail-oriented, analytical professional with a strong customer mindset and a passion for using data to improve engagement outcomes. You enjoy working in fast-paced, collaborative environments and are confident communicating insights to a wide range of stakeholders.

You’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a data analyst or reporting analyst role, ideally within marketing, loyalty or digital environments
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to extract, interpret and translate customer data into actionable insights
  • Advanced SQL capability and experience working with large, complex datasets
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards using BI or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau or Salesforce reporting)
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working across cross-functional teams
