Health, Safety and Assurance Lead

We’re looking for an experienced and practical professional to take ownership of our health and safety, quality and environmental process and systems across Wade Group.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll strengthen how we work by embedding ISO frameworks (9001, 14001, 45001) in a way that genuinely adds value, not just ticks boxes. You’ll play a key part in keeping our operations safe, compliant, and running at a high level, while helping us continuously improve how we deliver for our customers.
You’ll bring together data, systems, and operational insight to give clear visibility of performance, risks, and opportunities and work alongside our leaders and teams to lift capability, drive improvement, and achieve strong, consistent results.
Key responsibilities
- Leading health & safety, quality, environmental, systems across the business
- Ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and ISO standards
- Managing audits, non-conformances, incident investigations, and corrective actions
- Identifying risks and improvement opportunities, and putting practical solutions in place
- Delivering clear reporting and insights to support decision-making
- Leading process improvement using tools like root cause analysis and value stream mapping
- Supporting business planning, project pipelines, and performance tracking
- Leading H&S committee activity and supporting site safety representatives
- Building strong relationships across the business and with external partners Promoting a positive safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement culture
You'll need
- Proven experience in health & safety, quality, environmental or compliance roles
- Strong working knowledge of ISO standards (ideally across 9001, 14001, 45001)
- Practical, solutions-focused approach, able to combine compliance with what works on the floor
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with attention to detail Comfortable working with systems and data (Microsoft suite, Monday.com, Power BI desirable)
