Residing within the People and Capability Directorate, the Remuneration and Data Analyst is a key role designed to support the effective management of GCSB and NZSIS remuneration and HR data, enabling the agencies, P&C and managers to make informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Remuneration Analysis and Advice: oversee the remuneration processes for GCSB and NZSIS and contribute to the development of remuneration strategies and approaches. Provide remuneration advice to a variety of customers across all levels of the NZIC, support bargaining processes and analyse external remuneration and benefit data.
- Annual Remuneration Review: managing the annual remuneration review process and timeline, source and analyse internal and market data, design and run modelling scenarios
- Job Evaluation: Lead our in-house job evaluation processes including continuous improvement, coaching and guiding customers, panel management and session facilitation, maintaining job evaluation documentation, database and job grids
- HR Data Management, Integrity and reporting: Execute and continuously improve rigorous data quality management practises across HR master data, run regular and ad hoc reports to support decision making. Provide back up support to Establishment Management services.

To be successful in this role youll have:
- The ability to adapt to a highly unique working environment and security requirements
- Detailed experience in remuneration, benefits and job sizing methodology
- Detailed experience with complex pay environments such as collective agreements, allowances, rosters/shift workers and remediation programmes
- Comprehensive working knowledge of all relevant NZ legislation, such as the Holidays Act 2003, Employment Relations act, KiwiSaver Act, Parental Leave Act, Inland Revenue requirements
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and anomalies in data
- Excellent diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills
The expected appointing range for this position is: $103,009 - $109,876.

Before you apply
Working within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.
You must:
- Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
OR
Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
- Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
- Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
