Our team is seeking an experienced

Transport Engineer to join us, to be based in either our Christchurch or Wellington office.

Key responsibilities will include

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients including local and government agencies
• Delivery of transport projects across planning, design, and implementation
• Contribute to winning new and repeat business opportunities
• Provide technical input to projects and support delivery across multidisciplinary teams
• Conduct project management and deliver successful project outcomes
• Support the development of junior team members

What you will bring to the team

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or similar)
• Working towards (or holding) Chartered Engineer status is advantageous
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in transport engineering, ideally within a consulting environment
• Independent delivery of technical work within scope with support from Seniors
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to solve problems
• Solid understanding of transportation design standards and practices in New Zealand
• Experience in delivering transport infrastructure projects
• Experience in engaging with clients on technical matters
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Resolves problems but know when to escalate to Seniors when required
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
