Reintegration Peer Support Workers

The Salvation Army Reintegration Service exists to provide safe, integrated, high-quality treatment and support services to people whose lives have been affected by past offending history, alcohol or substance use. Our services are evidenced based best practice and are known for being people-centred, caring, transformative and responsive .
About The Role
To successfully apply for this role, you must have personal lived experience of past offending, addiction and recovery. You will join a passionate and caring team that supports people accessing our Services, helping others reduce offence and substance use harm by improving their life skills, relationships, and daily activities as part of their recovery.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A passion for helping others through their mental health / addiction journey
- A non-judgmental attitude
- Full NZ driver's licence and able to drive a van
- A moderate ability with use IT systems
- Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent (or be prepared to work towards it)
- Facilitate programmes that assist people towatrds improved wellbeing

Hours of work: This is a permanent 20 hours per week Monday to Friday (or as required)
The starting hourly rate will be $30 - $32
