A well-established multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their growing Tauranga office.

With a strong national presence and an excellent reputation across civil, structural, surveying and land development engineering, the business continues to secure a diverse pipeline of work across the Bay of Plenty and wider New Zealand market.

The Tauranga office offers the opportunity to join a smaller, collaborative team where your input and contribution will be highly visible.

Backed by the wider national business, you’ll enjoy the benefits of strong technical support, established systems and career development pathways, while still working in an agile environment where decisions are made quickly and people are genuinely valued.

You’ll work across a broad range of structural projects including residential, commercial and industrial developments, collaborating closely with clients, architects, contractors and internal engineering teams.

The role will provide exposure to all aspects of project delivery, from concept and detailed design through to construction monitoring and client relationship management.

This opportunity would suit an Intermediate Structural Engineer who enjoys project variety, practical engineering solutions and being part of a growing office where they can make a meaningful contribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structural design and documentation in accordance with NZ standards
  • Undertake seismic analysis and structural assessments
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors and internal disciplines
  • Prepare technical reports and support construction monitoring activities
  • Contribute to project delivery, client relationships and the continued growth of the Tauranga office

What You'll Bring:

  • A Civil or Structural Engineering degree (Washington Accord or equivalent)
  • New Zealand experience in structural and seismic design
  • Experience using structural analysis and design software such as ETABS and SpaceGass would be highly advantageous
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative mindset and desire to contribute positively to team culture
  • CPEng status or aspirations toward chartership would be viewed favourably

Why Apply?

  • Join a respected consultancy with an established reputation and strong project pipeline
  • Be part of a growing Tauranga office with excellent long-term career opportunities
  • Work alongside experienced engineers who value mentoring and professional development
  • Enjoy project variety, autonomy and a supportive team culture
  • Competitive salary package and flexible working arrangements on offer
  • Build your career while enjoying the Bay of Plenty lifestyle
