Mō te Tūranga | About the role

The Financial Crime platform is responsible for maintaining and supporting systems that help prevent, detect, and manage financial crime. This includes ensuring systems meet regulatory and compliance requirements. The platform is also delivering changes to improve data sources and applications in line with longer-term strategic goals.

As a Senior Software Engineer (Test), you’ll apply your quality engineering and testing expertise to help in supporting and maintaining our applications and contribute to the overall testing processes within the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing requirements and specifications.
• Contributing to agile testing strategies and plans.
• ETL and Data Testing.
• Web application Functional Testing.
• Integration and End to End Testing.
• Building and supporting test automation.
• Building and supporting performance testing.
• Verifying and validating functionality being developed.
• Analysing and reporting test results.
• Attention to details is key to identify issues within functionalities.
• Working with key stakeholders for testing end to end and obtain sign- off.

About The Squad

AML (Anti Money Laundering) squad implement, configure, maintain, and support the Anti Money Laundering solutions that help keep our customers safe.

We are looking for an individual that will take ownership for the testing of our technical solutions, drive continuous change for the squad and customers to ensure we are delivering best possible outcomes. You will work collaboratively with our squads and stakeholders to be the voice of engineering and deliver products that delight our customers.

We’re Looking For Someone With

• 5+ years of test engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience of testing ETL, databases and data warehouses.
• Proven knowledge across functional, system, integration, API testing, end to end testing and performance testing.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding and experience of working using Agile principles.
• Experience in developing, maintaining and executing test automation.
• Produce/contribute/maintain test artefacts.
• Working knowledge of MSSQL and Oracle SQL.
• API Test automation experience using Postman or similar tool.
• Good understanding and experience of working using Agile principles.
• Your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and technical leadership will make you well suited to this role.

In Addition, The Following Would Be An Advantage

• Financial/banking domain experience.
• Certified in ISTQB Fundamentals.
• Working experience with Snowflake and dbt.
• Working experience on Regulatory and Compliance projects.
