Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity

Due to a large SAP project, we have a fixed-term opportunity for a Finance Systems Specialist with deep expertise in SAP Logistics, specifically within the MM module, to join us here at Chorus.

This role sits within BAU support and is critical to maintaining system performance during a period of change. You will take ownership of logistics and procurement related incidents, working across SAP MM, inventory, and purchasing processes to ensure issues are investigated, understood, and resolved effectively.

Acting as the link between business and technical teams, you will diagnose system behaviour, assess downstream impacts, and support minor configuration updates and testing. This is a hands-on functional specialist role focused on outcomes, continuity, and operational stability.

Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience

You are an SAP functional specialist supporting the MM module in an operational environment. You bring a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, and you are confident owning issues end to end, from triage through to resolution.

You Will Also Demonstrate

  • In-depth knowledge of procurement, purchasing, inventory, and goods movement processes.
  • A track record of managing incidents end to end, including investigation, root cause identification, and resolution.
  • Advanced troubleshooting capability across system behaviour, transaction flows, and process workflows.
  • Experience with minor configuration changes and system testing within a BAU environment.
  • Ability to assess impacts across integrations, dependent systems, and end-to-end processes.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain workflows and how system issues affect downstream operations.
  • Confidence engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, acting as a bridge between business and technology teams.
  • A clear, structured communication style with a strong customer focus.
  • High level of ownership and accountability, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
