We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Project Supervisor – Transmission Lines to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical support and oversee the successful delivery of transmission and distribution contracting projects from planning through to completion. You will work closely with Project Managers, field crews, contractors, and customers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Role Responsibilities

As a Project Supervisor Transmission Lines, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of transmission and distribution projects from initial planning through to completion. Working closely with Project Managers, field crews, contractors, and customers, you will help ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. The role involves assisting with project scoping, estimating, work methodologies, job planning, and risk assessments, while also coordinating labour, plant, materials, and contractor requirements. You will also provide day-to-day leadership and support to reporting staff, ensuring competencies, training requirements, and workplace standards are maintained in line with company and industry expectations. You will regularly undertake site visits to monitor project progress, ensure compliance with approved work scopes, and maintain high standards of workmanship and safety. In addition, you will oversee field documentation, testing requirements, reporting, GIS data capture, and participate in project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical knowledge, leadership capability, and a proactive approach to safety, quality, and customer service within the electricity industry.

Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have strong industry knowledge, leadership capability, and practical experience within the electricity distribution or transmission sector.

You will ideally have:

  • National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Line Mechanic Transmission Level 4 or Live line Level 5)
  • Current EWRB practising licence relevant to the role

Electricity industry standards and codes of practice

Legislative and regulatory requirements

Safety Manual – Electricity Industry (SM-EI)

Conductor stringing 110-220kV

Pi pole replacement

  • Experience working with HV Transmission Lines
  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage workloads and deliver outcomes under pressure
  • A proactive approach to health and safety
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
