Unison Contracting is a specialist service provider in power, civil, and vegetation services to Unison Networks as well as other electricity distribution networks and customers across the country.

The Role

Based in Rotorua, you will play a key role in designing, costing, and providing technical support to a varied range of electrical distribution projects.

Working on both overhead and underground, you will ensure projects are efficient, safe, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Liaising with stakeholders, you’ll be key in setting projects up for success; from scoping and setting technical specifications, to contributing to the works methodology, and providing technical support during the delivery process.

About you

Pragmatic and open minded, you could come from a range of backgrounds within the electrical sector.

Existing design experience is desirable, either within distribution or a related electrical environment.

Alternatively, you could come from a field-based role such as a Line Mechanic, Electrical Fitter, or Project Coordinator, while having a genuine interest in design.

Either way, you will bring a relevant electrical qualification and have experience designing distribution construction or leading/coordination experience, with a keen eye for detail.
