Mo te tūranga | About the role

The Core Banking Tribe is the heart of the bank providing all the cool online / real-time transactional services that power ASB. As a Senior Software Engineer (Test), you will be supporting the TRBK implementation programme (converting SAP Banking Services 9 to SAP S/4 TRBK on HANA). There are around 200 integration touch points across 30+ different systems required to be tested in collaboration with multiple different technology squads.

As a Senior Software Engineer (Test), you will apply your SAP expertise and testing experience to help in supporting and maintaining our applications and contribute to the overall testing processes within the project.

You'll be part of a program/project on the forefront of working to deliver and support a secure, functional and performant ecosystem to our customers. You'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work that integrate on an enterprise scale.

Skills

We are looking for a mix of SAP or similar system experience and technical testing skills to support the following activities:

• Contributing to Agile testing strategies and plans.
• Developing and maintaining test automation.
• Developing and performing performance testing.
• Reviewing requirements and specifications.
• Verifying and validating functionality being developed.
• Analysing and reporting test results.
• Collaborate with internal SAP team, wider technology teams and onshore and offshore vendor partners to ensure the right level of test coverage is achieved.

Your primary responsibility will be everything testing with the focus on maintaining or extending test automation solutions built with an object-oriented programming language for Web and APIs integrated in CI/CD pipelines.

We are looking for an individual that will take ownership of our quality, drive continuous change for the squad and customers to ensure we are delivering best possible outcomes.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has

• 5+ years of test engineering experience with both Manual and Test Automation experience
• Proven knowledge across functional, system, integration, API testing, end to end testing, automation testing and performance testing.
• Contributing to project level test strategies / test plans that includes approach for technical testing (test automation & non-functional testing) components.
• Responsible for test artefacts / test deliverables and providing test sign off against test coverage, execution, defects, and risks.
• Develop strong positive stakeholder relationships over a continuous release stream.
• Develop sustainable and agile test processes that incorporate test automation.
• Manage complex integrated test environments and test data.
• Technical capabilities to develop .Net/RestSharp/Selenium/BDD test automation and/or Automation frameworks built using Licensed tools like TOSCA/Test complete.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Fosters proactive and continuous improvements to the Focus Area & Testing Chapter.
• Experience of testing SAP Banking Services and/or experience working on any other SAP systems like S/4HANA or Enterprise Platforms is preferred.

In Addition, The Following Would Be An Advantage

• Financial/banking domain experience.
• Certified in ISTQB Fundamentals.
• Working experience in Cloud technologies.
• Experience with Load Runner, Jmeter or similar tools.
• Experience with tools like Playwright, Cypress etc.
