The opportunity
Join a busy team in a hands-on, full-time role with variety and purpose.
Our Hastings branch is bustling and looking for an all-rounder to join our busy warehouse team. This role is perfect for someone reliable, physically capable, and eager to be part of a supportive, hard-working environment.
At Plumbing World, we work in partnership with our customers & the team, so you will have the ability and enjoy helping out wherever needed, this could involve serving customers on the trade counter, answering phones, or even doing the odd delivery.
Plumbing World is committed to our customer service promise, and we are focused on exceeding customers' expectations, so it's all hands-on deck at the trade counter before 9am no matter your role in the branch, this is to ensure customers are looked after straight away and they get what they need to start their day.
Your Responsibilities
- Assisting with inventory and inwards goods
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Conducting cycle counts and stock replenishment
- Carrying out general warehousing and housekeeping duties
- Ensuring a clean, tidy, and safe work environment
- Assisting on the trade sales counter and ensuring our customers are looked after
This is a full-time permanent, 40 hour, Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:30pm position with rostered Saturdays.

- Physically fit - heavy lifting involved (up to 20kgs)
- Trade or plumbing experience (preferred but not essential)
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the role
- A customer-focused approach and team-first attitude
What you'll bring
- Good with numbers and attention to detail
- Basic administration and logical problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Competent computer skills
- Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence
- Forklift licence with F endorsement (preferred but not essential)
- Well-presented with excellent interpersonal communication
