Data Analyst - Performance Reporting

MORRISON

Remote

If you’re excited by the opportunity to shape how a business uses data to make better decisions, this newly created role offers real scope to make an impact. You will play a pivotal role in bringing together the business’s most critical performance and asset data—turning complexity into clarity and insight that leaders trust. Just as importantly, this role is central to Morrison’s adoption of AI and the broader transformation enabled by AI tools, creating the strong data foundations needed for the business to adapt, scale and innovate with confidence. You’ll build and protect a single source of truth, champion data quality, and work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver smarter, more scalable data practices that support growth, scrutiny, and ambition.

About the Job

  • Own the end‑to‑end collection and stewardship of performance and asset management data, ensuring accuracy, consistency and auditability.
  • Maintain a single source of truth with clear data definitions, lineage and supporting evidence.
  • Perform data quality checks and reconciliations, investigate issues, and drive resolution with data providers.
  • Prepare validated, reporting‑ready datasets for internal reporting, Power BI dashboards, and external client requests (RFPs, DDQs, due diligence).
  • Partner with Finance, Investments, Asset Management and Client teams to translate reporting needs into clear, measurable data requirements.
  • Act as a backup to performance analysis, supporting performance calculations, validation and interpretation when required.
  • Improve and scale data processes through standardisation, automation and documentation.
  • Support onboarding of new data sources, platforms and tools, including testing and transition to BAU.
  • Maintain process documentation, controls and runbooks to support governance, risk and compliance expectations.

About You

  • A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Data/Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in data, analytics, finance or performance reporting, ideally in financial services or asset management.
  • Strong controls and process mindset, with experience working in evidence‑based or regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to own data end‑to‑end, from definition through to validation and sign‑off.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Exposure to Databricks, SQL or similar data platforms, or strong interest in learning.
  • Strong documentation skills (data dictionaries, process maps, runbooks) and experience with SharePoint or similar tools.
  • High attention to detail, strong numerical reasoning, and the ability to clearly explain data and performance outcomes.
  • Collaborative, purpose‑led and improvement‑focused, with sound judgement and respect for confidentiality.
