Business Development Manager (NZ/Aus)

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth for a leading intelligence platform across New Zealand and Australia, within a well-established technology organisation.
The platform supports large, complex organisations to better understand operations, customer behaviour, and performance through integrated data and analytics, enabling smarter decision-making and improved outcomes.
This is a client-facing, high-impact commercial role suited to someone confident operating in complex environments, building senior relationships, and leading opportunities across the full sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across NZ and Australia
- Own the full sales lifecycle from early engagement through to close
- Build and manage a strong pipeline within the transport and mobility sector
- Engage senior stakeholders across transport authorities, operators, and government agencies
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and procurement processes
- Shape solutions in collaboration with internal product and delivery teams
- Lead commercial negotiations and support contract execution
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management using CRM systems
- Represent the organisation at industry events and customer engagements
- Provide market insights to inform product and commercial strategy

About you
- Proven experience in business development or complex B2B sales (experience in SaaS, transport, infrastructure, or data/analytics advantageous)
- Strong track record of achieving revenue targets
- Experience managing end-to-end, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Confidence engaging senior decision-makers in enterprise and government sectors
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Experience working within structured procurement environments
- Proficiency in CRM systems and pipeline management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across New Zealand and Australia
