The Role
An experienced Three Waters Project Manager is sought to take ownership of multiple water, wastewater, and stormwater projects across the region. You will be responsible for managing projects from contract award through to completion, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure safe, efficient, and commercially sound delivery.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the detail while also maintaining a strong big-picture view of programme, cost, and risk.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Full project lifecycle management from planning through to final account
- Programme development, resourcing, and coordination of site teams
- Contract administration including variations, progress claims, and cost control
- Managing client and stakeholder relationships and providing clear reporting
- Ensuring health, safety, quality, and environmental standards are met on all projects
- Supporting and mentoring site-based staff where required
Role Requirements
- Proven experience managing Three Waters or utilities projects within civil construction
- Strong understanding of NZ construction contracts, ideally NZS3910
- Background in civil engineering, construction management, or a trade-based pathway with project management experience
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and client management skills
- Organised, solutions-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Full NZ driver’s licence and the right to work in New Zealand
