Civil Engineer
We have an opportunity for a Civil Engineer with a few years of experience who’s ready to take the next step in their career, to join our Transportation and Civil Infrastructure team in Tauranga.
In this role, you’ll be involved in the planning, design, and delivery of transportation and civil infrastructure projects for a mix of public and private sector clients. Working as part of a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary team, you’ll contribute across the full project lifecycle – from early investigations and design through to delivery and site support.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Contributing to the design and delivery of civil and transportation infrastructure projects
- Supporting project planning, scopes, programmes, and fee estimates
- Preparing designs, drawings, reports, and technical documentation
- Assisting with contract administration, site inspections, and construction support
- Engaging with clients, contractors, and internal project teams
- Applying relevant NZ standards and design guidelines in a quality-focused environment
- Working safely and contributing to WSP’s strong health, safety, and wellbeing culture
About You
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- 3+ years’ professional experience in civil and/or transportation engineering
- Exposure to transportation or infrastructure design projects
- Working knowledge of NZ design standards and guidelines (e.g. Waka Kotahi / Austroads)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A collaborative, client-focused mindset
- A current, clean driver’s licence
