What You’ll Do

As a Test Automation Engineer, you’ll play a key role in advancing Genesis’ automation capability across large-scale technology and customer platform initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership, governance, mentoring, and strategic collaboration as you help bridge the gap between project delivery and BAU support.

Some Of The Key Responsibilities Are

  • Lead and evolve scalable enterprise test automation frameworks and tooling
  • Act as the key Genesis contact for external delivery partners and programme stakeholders
  • Mentor and uplift a team of automation engineers and vendor partners
  • Drive automation-first practices across both project and BAU delivery
  • Collaborate across teams to improve quality outcomes, governance, and delivery alignment
  • Champion modern technologies, AI-assisted tooling, and continuous improvement initiatives

What You’ll Bring

You’ll bring strong automation expertise, stakeholder management capability, and a passion for growing testing capability within a collaborative enterprise environment.

You will also bring;

  • Extensive experience in software testing, including specialising in test automation across Web and API platforms
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and modern automation frameworks, with programming capability in TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Python
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
  • Strong understanding of quality engineering practices, automation strategy, and testing across Agile delivery environments
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage third-party vendors and stakeholders effectively
  • Experience with modern DevOps practices, cloud technologies, mobile automation, or AI-assisted tooling would be highly regarded
