Service Technician - Medical Devices

We are seeking a Service Technician to join our National Service Centre in Auckland, New Zealand.
Reporting to the Service and Operations Supervisor (NZ), you will be responsible for repairing equipment within agreed turnaround times while maintaining quality standards aligned with business objectives. The role also involves regular communication with both internal and external customers, maintaining tools and workspace in line with 5S principles, and utilising SAP alongside completing weekly reporting.
This role will suit someone with strong technical aptitude and experience in electrical and fine-detail repair work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide endoscope service and repair support across varying levels of complexity, in line with the skills matrix
- Accurately assess customer equipment and Olympus assets submitted for repair
- Perform scope reprocessing (flexible, rigid, and peripheral) as required
- Conduct final quality assurance on technicians' work when needed
- Liaise with the Service Administrator where customer expectations differ from technical assessments

What we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in fine-detail technical repair work, including:
- Strong soldering skills
- Strong hand eye coordination
- Mechanical assembly experience
- Electrical repair experience
- High level of mechanical aptitude
You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
To set you up for success your initial training will be completed in Melbourne, Australia. This will require flexibility with traveling for periods of up to 1 month at a time.
