Raj Fruit and Vegetable Limited, is known for providing quality fresh fruits and

vegetables along with excellent customer service. The business is seeking a reliable

and proactive Store Manager to join its team in Auckland.

The role involves managing day-to-day store operations, ensuring efficient stock and

staff management, and maintaining high presentation standards. The ideal candidate

must be organised, skilled, and capable of effectively managing daily retail

operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the store to ensure efficient workflow, profitability, and high standards of customer service.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks, maintain accurate stock records, and coordinate timely ordering of fresh produce and store stock to prevent shortages, overstocking, and unnecessary wastage.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including coordinating deliveries, negotiating pricing and supply terms, and ensuring consistent quality and availability of fresh produce.
  • Introduce and promote new products to meet customer demand and boost sales performance.
  • Set and review product pricing, implement in-store promotions, and plan seasonal specials to support sales targets, margin control, and customer demand.
  • Supervise staff rosters and allocate daily duties to ensure smooth store operations, effective coverage, and consistent customer service standards.
  • Recruit, train, and support employees, ensuring proper onboarding, adherence to store procedures, and delivery of high-quality customer service.
  • Maintain high store presentation standards, including cleanliness, hygiene, stock rotation, merchandising, and attractive display of fresh produce.
  • Oversee receiving, storage, and handling of fresh produce, ensuring accurate documentation and proper check-in and check-out processes for inventory control.
  • Monitor daily sales performance, labour costs, and store expenditure to support budgeting, financial control, and overall profitability.
  • Address customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify operational improvements and growth opportunities to enhance efficiency, product presentation, and overall store performance
  • Lead, motivate, and support staff through clear communication, teamwork, and supervision to maintain a positive and efficient workplace culture.

The candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be

paid between $30 and $35 per hour.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or at least a relevant Level 5 Qualification.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, mornings, and evenings as required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven leadership abilities with effective problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
