Asset & Lifecycle Manager

We currently have an opportunity for an Asset Manager in NZ to join our Government and Integrated Facilities Management team and play a key role in ensuring the effective stewardship, compliance and performance of critical assets within a custodial correctional environment. Reporting to the Contract Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support safe, secure and essential public services.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

  • Managing and maintaining asset registers within CMMS/CMS systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with contractual requirements
  • Analysing asset data to develop lifecycle plans, maintenance strategies, and compliance-driven standards and manuals
  • Leading condition assessments to inform renewals, replacements, and long-term asset planning
  • Supporting capital works planning, including condition-based and risk-based asset strategies
  • Partnering with operational teams and client stakeholders to deliver asset performance outcomes within a live custodial environment
  • Coordinating asset inspections, audits, and reporting to ensure safety, reliability, and service continuity
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across asset management practices and systems

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience managing asset registers and asset data within CMMS/CMS platforms
  • Strong capability in asset data analysis, contract-based asset tracking, and performance reporting
  • Demonstrated experience translating asset data into lifecycle plans, maintenance strategies, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience in long-term asset planning, including renewals, replacements, and condition-based approaches
  • Ability to undertake and interpret condition assessments to support asset decision-making
  • An engineering or technical background, with working knowledge of building systems (e.g. fire, mechanical, electrical)
  • Confidence working in regulated or complex environments, ideally within custodial or similar settings
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach
