We are looking for a Quality Programme Manager to lead a strategic quality and regulatory programme at our Synlait, Canterbury Facility. With a current focus on SAMR re-registration readiness, you’ll drive end-to-end programme governance, cross-functional coordination, and executive assurance reporting to deliver disciplined execution of critical business and compliance outcomes.

This is a rare, high-impact opportunity with strong visibility and authority across Executive Leadership, Board members, Shareholders, Customers, and regulatory bodies. You’ll bring structure and pace to a complex, multi-workstream environment, using your skillsto shape programme scope, governance, and delivery frameworks while owning executive reporting, shaping senior decision making, and escalating decisively when delivery risk is outside of tolerance across the business. Your work will play a key role in supporting Synlait’s ability to meet key 2027 compliance requirements, while strengthening how the business delivers its most critical quality programmes of work.

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading integrated programme planning and governance across multiple workstreams.
  • Managing executive reporting, risk escalation, and decision-making processes.
  • Drivig cross-functional coordination across teams to deliver regulatory and operational outcomes.
  • Owning programme scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and critical paths to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Engaging with senior leaders, customers, shareholders, and regulators to support delivery confidence and readiness.

About You

You are an experienced programme leader with a strong background in manufacturing, FMCG, or dairy environments. You bring exceptional stakeholder management, governance, accountability, and communication skills, with the ability to courageously influence complex programmes and drive alignment across diverse teams.

Skills And Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • 7+ years’ programme management experience within manufacturing, FMCG, or dairy
  • Experience leading regulatory or compliance-focused programmes
  • Strong governance, planning, risk management, and financial / commercial stakeholder engagement capability
  • Ability to work effectively across all levels of the business in fast-paced, complex environments
  • Tertiary qualification in Business and/or Project Management required
