We’re looking for a Master Data and Inventory Manager to lead data governance and inventory accuracy across our Energy Services division. This is a key role that ensures our systems, data, and inventory support safe, efficient operations and informed decision‑making across the business.
About The Role
Reporting to the Assets & Supply Chain Manager, you’ll be accountable for master data governance and inventory performance across ERP and related business systems. You’ll ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance while providing insights that support operational performance and strategic reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce master data governance frameworks, standards, and policies
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and quality of master data across ERP systems (customer, supplier, material, asset, BOMs/JDE assembly data)
- Lead data quality monitoring and cleansing initiatives, resolving integrity issues and inconsistencies
- Maintain accurate inventory records and optimise stock levels to balance supply and demand
- Provide inventory insights and analytics to support procurement, logistics, warehousing, and supplier relationships
- Support monthly cycle counts, end‑of‑year stocktakes, and inventory reporting
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and manage surplus or non‑moving stock
- Act as the central point of contact for master data and inventory-related queries and projects
- Collaborate closely with Digital and business teams on system improvements, upgrades, and automation
- Deliver accurate reporting and KPIs to support compliance, performance, and decision‑making
- Role model Northpower’s values, support team performance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements
About You
You’re detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across systems, data, and stakeholders. You bring a balance of technical expertise and practical operational understanding.
You’ll ideally bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, or similar
- 5+ years’ experience in data management, data governance, or business systems roles
- Experience with ERP and MDM systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Strong understanding of master data domains and data lifecycle management
- Working knowledge of inventory management and procurement practices
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with Digital, Finance, Commercial, Operations, or Compliance teams
- Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Certifications in Data Governance, MDM, or Analytics (e.g. DAMA, CDMP) are an advantage
