Music Producer - Pop/Rock/Folk Single

This role is ideal for a skilled music producer with a passion for contemporary pop, rock, and folk genres. The project centers on collaborating with a first-time recording artist to produce a debut single, with the possibility of expanding into a full EP. The artist draws inspiration from Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan, G Flip, Lorde, and Holly Humberstone, aiming to create a fresh, authentic sound that resonates with modern audiences. The producer will play a key role in shaping the sonic identity of the project, offering creative input and technical expertise throughout the recording process. While strong songwriting abilities are valued, the primary focus is on production, arrangement, and providing constructive feedback to enhance the artist’s vision.

Deliverables

• Collaborate closely with the artist to produce a high-quality single, with potential for additional tracks for an EP.
• Guide the recording process from pre-production through final mix, ensuring the sound aligns with the artist’s influences and goals.
• Provide creative input on arrangement, instrumentation, and overall sonic direction.
• Offer feedback on songwriting and lyrical content as needed.
• Manage session logistics, including scheduling, studio coordination, and file management.
• Deliver professionally mixed and mastered tracks ready for release on digital platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience producing pop, rock, or folk music, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
• Proficiency in industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Pro Tools).
• Strong understanding of current trends in pop and indie music production.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with emerging artists and provide constructive feedback.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Availability for remote collaboration, with flexibility to accommodate time zone differences (Australia/New Zealand).
• Experience with vocal production, arrangement, and mixing/mastering preferred.
