Position: Cook x2

Flavourful BBQ is a busy takeaway shop in South Auckland. We are looking for a suitably qualified motivated & energetic Chinese Chef to join our busy team. The takeaway shop serves Asian cuisine on a daily basis; particularly Chinese dishes.

Location : Auckland

Employment type : Full time

Duration : Permanent (Mondays to Sundays rostered hours)

Pay : $27 per hour (minimum 30 hours and max 50 hours weekly) earning $810-$1350 per week

We operate from Monday to Sunday 11am-11:30pm and on public holidays. As an important member of the team, this role is responsible for managing the day to day running of the kitchen. Selected candidates will work a minimum of 30 rostered hours per week including weekends and public holidays.

Duties of the Role

• examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
• regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• preparing and cooking food
• seasoning food during cooking
• portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
• storing food in temperature controlled facilities

Requisite Competencies

To fit well in the role, you will need to have;

• The ability to multi-task, cope with pressure in a fast paced working environment

• Three years' work experience is required

• Honesty, dependability and responsibility

• Punctuality and excellent time management

• Preferably speaking Chinese
